OU Biology Department Volunteers Bring Science to Life

image

As part of a special enrichment activity with OU Department of Biology volunteers Shelly Wu and Elyse Freitas, Wilson CASP students recently experienced a world of wonder normally invisible to the human eye. Students learned about the ocean biome and viewed zoo plankton through special, high powered microscopes provided by the OU Biology Department. Students also completed an experiment with daphnia that demonstrated how artificial sweetener affects the heart rate.

A big thank you to our awesome volunteers Shelly and Elyse and the OU Department of Biology! You created an amazing learning experience for our Wilson CASP students they will never forget! Who knows, some may be future biologists as a result of your time, talent, and generosity!
